Al-wahda district: The Directors of Al-Wahda District in the Capital Secretariat, Sami Hameed, and the Office of Economy, Industry, and Investment in the Secretariat, Majed Al-Sadah, inaugurated today the Productive Families Exhibition in the district, on the occasion of the noble Prophet's birth (Mawlid al-Nabawi).
According to Yemen News Agency, the exhibition, which runs for a week and is organized by the Al-Wahda Multi-Purpose Cooperative Association in partnership with the district, with the participation of 40 productive families, aims to support the economic empowerment of productive families and strengthen partnership in implementing development-impact initiatives, in coordination with the local authority, the General Mobilization Office in the district, and relevant bodies.
Hameed and Al-Sadah, accompanied by the Mobilization official of the district, Abdullah Al-Dharafi, and the Head of the Al-Wahda Cooperative Association, Mohammed Al-Nimr, toured the exhibition's sections, which feature a diverse range of products, including embroideries, textiles, handicrafts, accessories, incense, soap, perfumes, pastries, honey, sweets, and others.
At the opening, Hameed and Al-Sadah affirmed their commitment to supporting all projects that contribute to enhancing local production and improving the living standards of productive families, pointing out the importance of exhibitions in introducing and promoting the products and industries of productive families, supporting and encouraging them, and working toward achieving self-sufficiency.
They urged everyone to stimulate and support productive family projects, given their importance in creating job opportunities, encouraging local products, developing small and micro-enterprises, and enhancing community awareness of the importance of purchasing and promoting these products.
Meanwhile, Al-Dharafi and Al-Nimr pointed out that supporting and caring for productive families is a fundamental pillar in strengthening development and local production paths, building a resilient community economy based on self-capabilities and achieving self-sufficiency, as well as transforming society from a state of passive consumption to active production.
