Pakistan’s Central Bank Receives $1.3 Billion from IMF for Economic and Climate Support

Islamabad: Pakistan's Central Bank announced that it has received financing worth 1.3 billion dollars from the International Monetary Fund under the "Extended Fund Facility" and the "Resilience and Sustainability Facility" dedicated to climate.

According to Yemen News Agency, the bank explained in a statement on Wednesday that it received 1.1 billion dollars under the Extended Fund Facility, in addition to about 220 million dollars under the Resilience and Sustainability Facility.

It pointed out that the total disbursed financing to Pakistan under these two programs has thus risen to about 4.8 billion dollars.
