Sanaa: Speaker of Parliament, Yahya Ali Al-Ra'i, awarded the Parliament's shield to the martyred leaders, including Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahawi, Prime Minister of the Change and Construction Government, and members of his government, recognizing their efforts against Israeli-American aggression and blockade in Yemen.
According to Yemen News Agency, Acting Prime Minister Muhammad Miftah and other surviving ministers were also honored for their roles during the Zionist-American attack. Lieutenant General Muhammad Al-Ghamari, Chief of the General Staff, and his comrades received posthumous recognition for their dedication to national defense.
The ceremony, attended by Deputy Speakers Abdul Salam Hashoul and Abdul Rahman Al-Jama'i, along with several Parliament members, included presenting the shields to the families of the martyred leaders. The Fatiha was recited for the souls of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
Yahya Ali Al-Ra'i emphasized the honoring's significance, reflecting the commitment of Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi and the political leadership to the martyrs and their families. He highlighted the government's role during challenging times and called for vigilance and preparedness in defending national sovereignty.
Deputy Speaker Hashoul praised the attention given to martyrs' families by Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi and Field Marshal Mahdi al-Mashat. He stated that the award symbolizes appreciation for state leaders' efforts and reflects the Yemeni people's determination.
During the event, Acting Prime Minister Miftah expressed gratitude for the recognition and reiterated the government's commitment to its program. He acknowledged the martyrs' sacrifices and emphasized the government's readiness and stable supply situation, supported by state authorities.
Hassan Sharaf al-Din, Secretary-General of the Presidency, expressed gratitude on behalf of the martyrs' families, highlighting the positive relationship between the legislative and executive branches in strengthening national resilience. The families appreciated the Parliament's support and affirmed their loyalty to the nation's cause.
