Performance of Al-Tahrir Cooperative Society Reviewed in Sana’a

Sana'a: A meeting in the Capital Secretariat on Saturday, chaired by Head of the Social Affairs Committee and Deputy Head of the Development Team, Hamoud Al-Naqeeb, reviewed the performance of the Al-Tahrir Multipurpose Cooperative Society.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by Capital Secretariat Undersecretaries for Financial Affairs Mazen Noman and Agricultural Affairs Mohammed Saree, Assistant Undersecretary Dr. Abdulwahab Sharaf, Director of the Social Affairs Office Nasser Al-Kahili, Director of the Cooperatives Office Nabil Rajeh, District Director Naji Al-Shayyani, and local and cooperative leaders. They reviewed a report on the society's achievements during the past period.

Participants discussed ways to improve the society's performance, strengthen its developmental and cooperative role, implement priority service and development projects, and serve the community. They also focused on building the capacities of its leadership and staff.

Al-Naqeeb emphasized the importance of reviewing the outcomes of a recent workshop held for the Capital Secretariat's Development and Cooperative Management Team. The workshop aimed to enhance the efficiency of cooperative societies, strengthen their institutional performance, and expand their contribution to local development and economic empowerment.

For his part, Chairman of Al-Tahrir Cooperative Society Muath Al-Mahdi outlined the society's key achievements. These included the establishment of five funds for productive families, implementation of 60 sanitation initiatives, seven tree-planting campaigns, awareness programs, sidewalk improvement projects, street-lighting works, and participation in several productive families' festivals.
