Sana'a: The Ministry of Interior marked on Saturday the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birth (peace be upon him and his family) with a commemorative event. During the ceremony, Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Ghalib Al-Rahwi expressed his satisfaction with the broad public engagement in organizing activities inspired by love for the Prophet, as well as with the preparations for the central celebration scheduled for the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Rahwi voiced confidence that this year's commemoration would surpass previous years in grandeur and stand out across the Arab and Islamic world. He noted that the enemies of the Muslim nation, foremost among them the Zionist entity, are disturbed by Yemen's celebrations of the Prophet's birth due to their hostility toward Islam and its Messenger, whom God sent as a mercy to mankind.
Al-Rahwi explained that these adversaries are working to distance the Muslim nation from its faith, its Qur'an, and its noble Messenger through pressures such as attempts to alter curricula and eliminate the concept of jihad, while instilling in their own curricula claims that Arab lands belong to them and that they are the 'chosen people.'
The Prime Minister pointed out that recent statements by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu revealed the long-hidden expansionist agenda of the Zionist entity, calling on the Muslim nation to unite to thwart this scheme, liberate Palestine, and reclaim occupied Arab lands. He stressed that national unity and internal cohesion over the past decade have been the foundation of Yemen's strength and resilience, praising the armed forces for their successful operations that have shaken Israel, including three recent strikes on vital enemy sites.
He also commended the leadership and personnel of the Ministry of Interior for their vigilance in confronting hostile plots, ensuring security and stability, and highlighted the ministry's security plan to provide a safe and positive atmosphere for the central celebration.
Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security, Lt. Gen. Jalal Al-Rowaishan, stated that the Prophet's birth was not a fleeting historical event but a divine turning point and the culmination of all heavenly messages. He noted that enemies of the Muslim nation have long sought to undermine the legacy of the Prophet and detach the ummah from him.
Al-Rowaishan explained that targeting the Prophet's biography and stripping it of its political, economic, and jihad-related dimensions is part of a broader plot to divert the ummah from the Prophet's path as leader and role model. He stressed that the current massacres, starvation, and destruction in Gaza are a continuation of such conspiracies.
'These attempts will not deter Yemen from adhering to the Prophet's legacy; rather, they strengthen its resolve to confront the enemies of the ummah,' he said, affirming that Yemen's unwavering support for Palestine draws strength from the Qur'anic project and the Prophet's example.
He also praised the Ministry of Interior's leadership and personnel for safeguarding public security and tranquility, urging mass mobilization for the central celebration on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal and encouraging solidarity with the poor and needy on this blessed occasion.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Interior, Maj. Gen. Abdul-Majid Al-Murtada, stated that this year's commemoration of the Prophet's birth coincides with Yemen's honorable and exceptional stance in supporting the Palestinian people against genocide and blockade, at a time of shameful Arab, Islamic, and international silence.
He emphasized that this honor carried by Yemenis today is an extension of their forefathers' legacy, who supported the Prophet in his mission, noting the Prophet's saying: 'Faith is Yemeni and wisdom is Yemeni.'
Maj. Gen. Al-Murtada affirmed that the Qur'anic project granted by God to the Yemeni people has made their position unique compared to other hesitant official stances, stressing that it remains firm and unshaken by threats or conspiracies. He warned mercenaries of the aggression that any acts of sabotage or hostility against the Yemeni people only serve the American-Zionist enemy, declaring that the battle is now clearly one between truth and falsehood, and that anyone aligning with the enemy will be regarded by the Yemeni people as fighting on the side of the Zionists.
