Presidential Committee Joins Celebration of Prophet’s Birthday in Hamdan

Sana'a: Residents of Al-Jahiliyah in the Hamdan District of Sana'a Governorate organized a significant event to commemorate the Prophet's birthday, featuring participation from the Presidential Committee focused on mobilization and preparation for the central commemoration.

According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by several notable figures, including Deputy Director of the Presidential Office Fahd Al-Ezzi and Head of the Cultural and Media Affairs Department at the Presidential Office Zaid Al-Gharsi. Other attendees included Deputy Chairman of the Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption Ridan Al-Mutawakkil, Authority members Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Kummim and Salim Al-Sayyani, and Assistant Secretary of the Authority Saddam Al-Ra'i.

Cultural activist Yahya Qasim Abu Awadah delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of the occasion as a reminder of the values of sacrifice and the need for unity among Arab nations to support the oppressed. He highlighted the celebration as a moment for awakening, urging Arab states to resist external powers and support the oppressed in Gaza.

Abu Awadah addressed the threat posed by division among Arab and Islamic nations, pointing to conflicts in Syria and Lebanon as examples and warning against passivity towards Israeli and U.S. schemes. He praised the Yemeni people for their resilience and commitment to resisting these powers.

The event, which included community leaders, tribal figures, and local officials from Sana'a Governorate, featured a speech by Colonel Mohammed Al-Amadi. He spoke on behalf of the residents and elders of Al-Jahiliyah about the significance of the occasion and following the Muhammadan path. The event concluded with a poem celebrating the Yemeni people's devotion to the Prophet.
