Sanaa: Leaders and employees of the State Legal Office held a protest rally condemning a U.S. insult to the Holy Qur'an. Participants strongly denounced an American candidate's act of placing a copy of the Holy Qur'an in the mouth of a pig, describing it as a blatant affront to the feelings of nearly two billion Muslims worldwide.
According to Yemen News Agency, a statement issued by the rally affirmed a firm faith-based stance rejecting any insult to the Book of Allah, stressing that the incident constitutes a clear attack on Islamic sanctities. The statement called for confronting the offense through all legitimate means, reaffirmed steadfast support for the Palestinian people, and emphasized readiness to face upcoming challenges.
Participants announced their continued commitment to lawful practical measures, foremost among them the boycott of American and Israeli enemy products, urging Muslims worldwide to join the boycott as an expression of popular rejection of such violations. The statement also urged the Yemeni people to take part in mass demonstrations in response to the call by Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, to express public anger and reject repeated insults to the Holy Qur'an and sacred symbols, and to reaffirm support for the Palestinian people.
