Protesters in Al-Jawf Condemn Saudi Airstrike on Al-Hazm Central Prison

Al-jawf: Families and relatives of victims of the Saudi airstrike on Al-Hazm Central Prison in Al-Jawf held a protest on Thursday, condemning the attack that killed and wounded 39 inmates, including a woman and a child.

According to Yemen News Agency, the protesters condemned the continued Saudi aggression and blockade, stating that Saudi warplanes had carried out 121 airstrikes over the past four days against the provinces of Marib, Al-Jawf, Al-Bayda, Taiz, and Hodeidah.

A statement issued during the protest condemned the attack on the prison as a violation of human rights and international humanitarian law, stressing that targeting civilians and detainees, and violating Yemen's sovereignty would not go unanswered.

The statement called on the United Nations, the Security Council, and relevant organizations to condemn the Saudi attack and end their silence over what it described as ongoing Saudi actions.

It also praised recent Yemeni military operations against Saudi targets, describing them as a response to Saudi attacks.

The protesters called on Yemenis across the country to unite and confront the occupation until all of Yemen's territory is liberated, and the country's rights, resources, freedom, and independence are restored.
