Sana'a: The Public Prosecution in Ibb governorate has taken decisive action by destroying a significant quantity of narcotic drugs. This event coincided with the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the destruction process, the Head of the Appeals Prosecution in the governorate, Judge Abdulrahman al-Nuzaili, reported that over 79 kilograms of hashish and 43,000 ampoules and narcotic pills were destroyed. Al-Nuzaili highlighted that these actions are in compliance with judicial rulings from competent courts, which mandated the destruction of the seized drugs as part of ongoing efforts to protect society from these harmful substances.
Judge Abdulrahman al-Yafrusi, a member of the Criminal Prosecution, and the Director of the Anti-Narcotics Department in Ibb emphasized the importance of the collaboration between security forces and the judiciary. They noted that the successful seizure and destruction of these narcotics were the results of integrated efforts aimed at confronting threats to societal well-being.
