Marib: The Military Media today published qualitative scenes of the downing of a Saudi "F-15" fighter jet and its wreckage in Marib Governorate. The scenes showed the precise monitoring of the Saudi warplane and the moment it was targeted by a locally made surface-to-air missile.
According to Yemen News Agency, the scenes documented the attempt of the Saudi warplane to release thermal flares to avoid being targeted, but the Yemeni surface-to-air missile managed to hit the aircraft directly, leading to its destruction. The remnants of the warplane were shown on the ground, illustrating the extent of the missile's impact force, which turned it into small pieces.
