Al-mahwit: A Ramadan evening was held in Al-Khabt District, Al-Mahwit Governorate, to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah honor his face), under the slogan 'I have triumphed, by the Lord of the Kaaba.'

According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by the district director, Ali Qutaynah, executive office managers, and several social figures and dignitaries. Ahmed Al-Wali, Secretary-General of the local council in the district, highlighted the inspiring aspects of Imam Ali's character, emphasizing his courage, asceticism, and deep faith, which together represent a unique leadership model during a critical period in Islamic history.

He affirmed that Imam Ali undertook a phase of struggle and jihad to uphold the word of Allah and establish the principles of truth and justice. Al-Wali explained that commemorating his martyrdom serves as a significant spiritual moment to draw lessons from his noble life and his great stances against oppression and deviation.

Al-Wali also pointed out that this occasion reminds the nation of the immense sacrifices Imam Ali made to correct the deviations that affected the community after the passing of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) and reinforces the importance of adhering to the values and principles for which he sacrificed.

He stressed the importance of continuing to support the Palestinian people, through spending in the way of Allah and backing the valiant Palestinian resistance against US-Israeli-Zionist tyranny, emphasizing the need to strengthen societal awareness of the critical issues facing the nation.

Ali Al-Shahdhi, the district's mobilization official, affirmed the significance of commemorating this religious occasion to derive lessons from Imam Ali's life, reinforce faith-based identity, and promote Quranic culture within the community, contributing to the consolidation of values such as sacrifice and steadfastness in the face of challenges.

He called for drawing inspiration from the values and principles embodied by Imam Ali in his life, emulating his example in truthfulness, justice, courage, and supporting the oppressed.
