Sa'dah: Governor Mohammed Awad inspected the volume of flood and rainwater that recently flowed into the Al-Rahbah Dam in Bani Huwaidi and the Al-Sadr Dam in Kataf District.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Awad received a detailed briefing from Engineer Zakaria Al-Mutawakkil, the head of the governorate's agriculture sector. The briefing covered the storage capacities of the key dams in the region. The Al-Sadr Dam, located in the Kataf District, has a storage capacity of 250,000 cubic meters. This dam was constructed at an estimated cost of 141 million riyals.
In addition, the Al-Rahbah Dam in Bani Huwaidi boasts a significantly larger storage capacity, exceeding two million cubic meters. The construction of this dam involved a considerable expenditure of 432 million riyals. The inspection by Governor Awad underscores the importance of these infrastructures in managing water resources and addressing the challenges posed by floodwaters in the region.
