Muscat: The Capital Sana'a recently concluded a ten-day training course on material testing and quality control, organized by the General Administration for Development Research and Training. The program aimed to enhance the skills of engineers in ensuring construction quality and adherence to technical standards.
According to Yemen News Agency, the course trained 22 engineers from various sectors, including the Public Works and Projects sector, the Public Works Office, and the Executive Unit for Road Construction and Public Facilities. Participants gained valuable insights into testing road construction materials, selecting appropriate sources, and implementing sampling methods in accordance with international standards. The training also covered quality control for building construction and finishing works.
Abdullah al-Koul, Director of Training, highlighted the significance of specialized courses in improving engineers' professional capacities. He noted that such initiatives are crucial for promoting quality standards and enhancing institutional performance, ultimately ensuring higher-quality projects and services for citizens.
