Sana'a: The Economy, Industry and Investment Office in Sana'a Governorate has taken decisive action by destroying a significant quantity of electronic shishas and shisha flavors that were deemed in violation of public morals and harmful to consumers' health and safety.
According to Yemen News Agency, the items destroyed included 95 electronic shishas, 71 containers of various shisha flavors, and 21 containers of 'Hoot' shamma. This destruction was enforced following a Cabinet decision that prohibits the import, entry, and circulation of electronic cigarettes and shishas. The decision also mandates the seizure of expired and unusable products due to their serious health risks.
Fahd Al-Gharbani, the director of the office, emphasized that field teams will continue conducting inspection campaigns across markets and commercial establishments in the governorate. The aim is to curb the circulation of adulterated and illegally imported goods. Al-Gharbani also urged citizens to report any violations that could affect their health and food safety.
