Sana’a Gov Holds Stand Condemning Desecration of Quran, Support of Gaza

Sana'a: The Agriculture, Water Resources, and Environment sectors, along with the Transportation and Postal Authorities in Sana'a governorate, organized a large stand on Sunday to condemn the desecration of the Holy Quran and to express support for al-Aqsa Mosque, under the slogan "In Anger for the Quran and Holy Sites, and in Support of Gaza and Palestine."

According to Yemen News Agency, the stand was attended by the Deputy Governor of Sana'a for Services, Fares al-Kahali, the Director of the General Authority for Water Resources and Facilities, Engineer Abdul Karim al-Sufyani, directors of the organizing offices, and heads of sector associations. They denounced the crime committed by the American criminal, Jake Lang, in burning a copy of the Holy Quran in the state of Michigan, USA.

The participants in the rally expressed their rejection of all attempts to undermine the nation's fundamental principles, identity, and sacred sites. They condemned these crimes, which constitute an attack on Islamic sanctities and provoke the feelings of nearly two billion Muslims worldwide. They emphasized that these crimes must not go unpunished.

They renewed their support for the leader of the revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, affirming their readiness for any developments and their support for their brothers in Gaza and for the causes and sacred sites of the nation.

A statement issued at the rally called upon the peoples of the Arab and Islamic world to organize campaigns to boycott American and Israeli goods, as well as to hold marches in all the capitals and cities of Arab and Islamic countries.

The statement affirmed the religious and moral position of the Yemeni people in support of Gaza until the liberation of all occupied Palestinian territories, and their continued support for Hezbollah, which has dealt blows to the Zionist entity.

The statement reaffirmed the right of the Islamic Republic of Iran to respond to attacks by America and Israel.
