Sana'a: A football tournament for youth teams from different neighborhoods was launched in the capital Sana'a as part of summer activities programs under the al-Sarkha slogan 'Knowledge and Jihad.'
According to Yemen News Agency, the tournament is organized by the summer activities committee in cooperation with a local development foundation. It aims to engage over 1,600 young participants across districts in the capital.
Officials mentioned that the sports activities are designed to develop skills, teamwork, and self-reliance among students during the summer break.
Speakers emphasized the role of such programs in youth development, integrating sports with educational and cultural activities.
The speakers also noted that the tournament is part of broader efforts to support summer centers and encourage positive use of students' time, with matches hosted at local sports facilities.
