Sana'a: Sana'a Mayor Dr. Hamoud Abbad inspected the ongoing road rehabilitation and maintenance project in the Maeen District, which is being funded locally with a budget of 150 million Yemeni rials.
According to Yemen News Agency, Mayor Abbad, accompanied by Deputy Mayor for Public Works and Projects Eng. Abdulkarim Al-Houthi, and other officials, assessed the asphalt repair works on Salah Al-Din Street. The repairs cover an area of 2,000 square meters and are part of the first phase that aims to rehabilitate and pave streets and internal neighborhoods between Hail and the Ring Road. The project has reached 75 percent completion and is executed by the Executive Unit for Road Construction and Maintenance.
Mayor Abbad highlighted the significance of the project, which aims to address 10,000 square meters of damaged sections on secondary and side streets in the Hail area. He emphasized the necessity for timely completion in line with technical standards and quality requirements. The mayor commended the efforts of the executive unit and the progress made so far.
In addition to the road works, Mayor Abbad and municipal officials inspected the ongoing construction of the Martyr Hani Toumar monument at the Amran Bridge roundabout. This project, nearing 85 percent completion, includes a symbolic monument of martyr Toumar and his armored vehicle, along with green spaces and landscaping, and is supported by the Cleaning and Improvement Fund.
