Sana'a: A meeting in the Capital Sana'a on Monday reviewed mechanisms to enhance community awareness of the importance of summer courses and their role in youth development.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, chaired by First Undersecretary and Head of the Subcommittee for Summer Activities Khaled al-Madani, brought together education officials, mobilization representatives, and district coordinators. Participants praised the strong turnout and momentum of summer courses since their launch, highlighting the wide range of educational and cultural programs.
Discussions focused on field visit plans to monitor performance and strengthen awareness efforts about the role of summer courses in building students' capacities, equipping them with beneficial knowledge, and developing their skills. Al-Madani stressed the collective responsibility to protect youth from misleading ideas and soft war, describing summer courses as key educational environments that instill values, knowledge, and Quranic culture.
Education sector official Abdulqader al-Mahdi highlighted the importance of these programs in shaping balanced student personalities and called for unified educational and community efforts to encourage student participation. The meeting concluded with several decisions, including implementing field follow-up plans, providing necessary resources, monitoring performance, and addressing any challenges to ensure the success of the summer courses according to the set schedule.
