Sana'a: Sana'a University witnessed on Wednesday a large student march in solidarity with Gaza, condemning and denouncing the genocide, siege, and starvation of Gaza's people under the slogan: 'With the army and security, conspiracies will not stop us from supporting Gaza.'
According to Yemen News Agency, participants in the march, which included Sana'a University leaders, directors of research centers, deans of faculties, academic and administrative staff, and students, carried the Yemeni and Palestinian flags while chanting slogans condemning the massacres, killings, and starvation committed by the Zionist entity against Gaza's residents with U.S. support and the silence of the Arab and Islamic world.
During the march, University President Dr. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti affirmed that the university continues its weekly public demonstrations with all its staff and students, highlighting the critical role of Yemeni universities and their members in supporting and standing with Gaza. He reiterated the university community's unwavering position with the brothers in Gaza and all of Palestine-through blood, resources, and every possible means-emphasizing that this is a religious, moral, and humanitarian responsibility that cannot be abandoned regardless of the sacrifices required.
Dr. Al-Bukhaiti condemned the Zionist entity's crimes and daily massacres against Gaza's people, carried out in full view of the world, noting that the atrocities are shocking to humanity while the international community remains largely inactive. He pointed out that the Zionist enemy finds no deterrent from any Arab or Islamic country except Yemen, described by the Prophet Muhammad as 'people of support and aid,' explaining that the enemy seeks regional expansion by exploiting the silence of Arab countries normalizing relations with Israel, who prevent their populations from expressing support for the Palestinian struggle and the restoration of the Palestinian state.
The university president sent messages to the heroes in Gaza, the resistance fighters, and the Yemeni people, expressing the university community's pride in the resistance that has challenged global Zionism and the 'Great Satan,' the U.S. and Israel. He praised the resistance's heroic sacrifices in defense of God's cause and the sanctities, affirming their absolute authorization to follow the revolution's leadership and readiness to engage in the fourth phase of escalation to support the oppressed in Gaza.
A statement issued during the march, read by Dr. Zaid Al-Warith, Assistant President of Sana'a University for Research Centers, condemned Israel's continued aggression, the so-called 'crime of the century,' and the genocide targeting the Palestinian people in Gaza in full view of the world. The statement highlighted the daily witnessing of atrocities that shock human conscience, urging everyone with a conscience to act responsibly and morally, reiterating Sana'a University's steadfast moral and humanitarian stance with the Palestinian people, who face daily starvation, water deprivation, forced displacement, targeted killings, and terrorism in Gaza.
It strongly condemned the killings, abductions, and raids against Palestinians in the West Bank, assuring them that they are not alone-God is with them, and the Yemeni people stand by them, despite widespread hesitation or retreat in other parts of the Arab world. The statement emphasized that the Yemeni people will continue their support and solidarity, led by the armed forces, which strive to advance their military capabilities and strengthen their role in all fields to ensure a more effective and impactful presence.
It stressed that Yemen's stance in support of Gaza is motivated by faith, human conscience, ethics, and awareness of the real nature of the conflict, with sacrifices and martyrs offered in God's path, and will not be deterred by the threats, discouragement, or skepticism of hypocrites. The statement warned the Arab and Emirati regimes collaborating with Israel to secure enemy navigation, affirming that such efforts will fail. It also cautioned anyone tempted to serve the enemies or engage in betrayal for Israel against undermining Yemen's internal front or obstructing support for Gaza.
Participants called on academics, postgraduate students, and research professionals to engage in seminars, studies, and research exposing the nature of the conflict with the Zionist project and the U.S. administration's role in empowering Israel to dominate the Arab and Islamic intellectual and cultural landscape.
