Sanaa: In the tenth Ramadan lecture of the year 1447 AH, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi delved into the divine preparation of Prophet Musa (PBUH) as described in Surah Al-Qasas. The lecture, delivered on Friday, 10th of Ramadan, explored the profound gifts of judgment and knowledge granted by Allah to Prophet Musa, highlighting their significance in his youth and the immense responsibilities he upheld.

According to Yemen News Agency, Sayyed Abdulmalik emphasized the Quranic verse, {‘And when he reached full strength and was ripe, We gave him judgment and knowledge. This is how We reward the good-doers’} [Al-Qasas 28:14], to illustrate the divine preparation Musa received. This preparation equipped him with wisdom, sound judgment, and intellectual maturity, despite living in an environment that lacked the capacity to nurture such qualities. Sayyed Abdulmalik noted that these gifts from Allah were essential for Musa’s practical responsibilities and his profound commitment to aiding the oppressed.

The lecture further explored the essential qualities needed for benevolence, a defining trait of Prophet Musa. Sayyed Abdulmalik highlighted that Musa’s benevolence was evident in his concern for the oppressed and his efforts to establish justice, despite the tyranny and oppression of Firawn’s rule. He emphasized that judgment and knowledge are critical in performing acts of benevolence effectively, enabling individuals to act with wisdom and justice.

Sayyed Abdulmalik reiterated that benevolence is a fundamental quality for all believers, leaders, and individuals in various roles. It is an essential aspect of faith, moral integrity, and human empathy, helping individuals rise above selfishness and prioritize the welfare of others. The lecture concluded with a prayer for divine guidance, mercy for martyrs, healing for the wounded, and victory for the oppressed.
