Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi’s Twentieth Ramadan Lecture Highlights Significance of Last Ten Days and Commemoration of Imam Ali’s Martyrdom

Sanaa: In a heartfelt lecture delivered during the sacred month of Ramadan, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi emphasized the spiritual significance of the last ten days of Ramadan and the profound tragedy of Imam Ali's martyrdom. As the Muslim community seeks to make the most of these blessed days, Sayyed Abdulmalik urged believers to focus on worship, supplication, and righteous deeds to attain piety and strengthen their relationship with Allah.

According to Yemen News Agency, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi highlighted the immense importance of the night of Qadr within the last ten days of Ramadan. He explained that this night holds great significance in the detailed ordering of human matters, as affirmed in the Holy Quran. It presents an opportunity for Muslims to seek Allah's guidance, forgiveness, and blessings, as well as to draw closer to Him through prayer and devotion.

Sayyed Abdulmalik also commemorated the martyrdom of Imam Ali, which occurred on the twenty-first of Ramadan. He recounted the tragic assassination of Imam Ali by Ibn Muljam in the Mosque of Kufa during the year 40 after the Hijrah. Sayyed Abdulmalik reflected on the severe consequences the Muslim Ummah faced due to this heinous crime, orchestrated by the forces of hypocrisy and tyranny, particularly the Umayyad rulers. He emphasized Imam Ali's vital role in establishing Islam, his profound spiritual connection with the Holy Quran, and his unwavering dedication to truth and justice.

Throughout his lecture, Sayyed Abdulmalik urged the Muslim community to remain steadfast in their faith, uphold the integrity of their religion, and prioritize their relationship with Allah above worldly concerns. He called upon believers to engage in jihad in the path of Allah, emphasizing its significance as a means of attaining spiritual elevation and protecting the Ummah against its enemies.
