Sana'a: The Acting Prime Minister, scholar Mohammed Miftah, today visited several charitable kitchens in Shu'ub District, Capital Sana'a. During these visits, he was accompanied by the Mayor of the Capital, Dr. Hammoud Abbad, and the First Undersecretary of the Secretariat, Khaled Al-Madani.
According to Yemen News Agency, scholar Miftah reviewed the charitable role of the kitchens in providing iftar meals to thousands of poor families across the district, facilitated through community initiatives and the contributions of philanthropists. The delegation received an explanation from Hammoud Al-Naqeeb, the Head of the Social Affairs Committee at the Local Council of the Secretariat, along with those in charge, highlighting the humanitarian efforts of the charitable kitchens and the number of beneficiary families.
The officials explained that there are 16 charitable kitchens in the Shu'ub District dedicated to preparing iftar meals for poor families, targeting a total of 8,577 families. Scholar Miftah commended the significant efforts of these kitchens in assisting needy families and fostering a spirit of solidarity and compassion within Yemeni society.
He emphasized the importance of expanding such charitable initiatives, which play a crucial role in strengthening the spirit of brotherhood among community members by extending kindness to the needy and destitute. Scholar Miftah praised the efforts of those managing the charitable kitchens, both in Shu'ub District and other districts, as well as all contributors supporting this humanitarian project, which aims to assist needy families and alleviate their suffering.
