Azal: Chairman of the Social Affairs Committee and Deputy Head of the Development Team in the Capital Secretariat, Hamoud Al-Naqeeb, today reviewed the ongoing preparations for the establishment of the National Mall affiliated with the Azal Multi-Purpose Cooperative Association in Azal District.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Naqeeb, accompanied by the Secretariat's Undersecretary for the Financial Sector, Mazen Noman, and directors of the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in the Secretariat, Abdullah Sharaf Al-Din and Mohammed Al-Ghalisi, along with his deputy Samir Hamza, and the district's Mobilization Officer Abdullah Al-Bahri, inspected the mall's components, sections, and final preparations ahead of its opening.
They received a briefing from the Chairman of the Azal Cooperative Association, Hussein Fadah, and the Association's Secretary-General, Ammar Al-Dhafari, about the establishment of the first permanent National Mall in Naqm Market. This project is funded by the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit as part of the association's broader projects.
The mall will showcase national products, including clothing for various age groups and food commodities, with participation from productive families in Azal District. This initiative aims to support local products and contribute to the local economy.
Al-Naqeeb emphasized that this strategic step is a fundamental pillar in supporting and promoting local products, enhancing development pathways, and achieving self-sufficiency across various sectors. He commended the efforts of the Azal Cooperative Association in establishing the National Mall, viewing it as a part of broader efforts to economically empower productive families and implement significant development initiatives.
Moreover, Al-Naqeeb highlighted the local authority's commitment to supporting and encouraging such initiatives, development projects, and local products to build a resilient national economy.
