Al-hodeida: The second workshop dedicated to the implementation of the Agricultural Land Reclamation and Empowerment Project took place in the Al-Hudaydah governorate. This initiative was organized through a collaboration between the local Land Authority, local government, and the Agricultural Cooperatives Union.
According to Yemen News Agency, the workshop was aimed at representatives from different districts and concentrated on strategies to agriculturally invest state lands through the use of cooperatives. The goal is to achieve sustainable agricultural development in the region. During the workshop, officials highlighted the necessity of empowering cooperatives and farmers by simplifying procedures and boosting local production. This, in turn, is expected to foster self-sufficiency and bolster the national economy.
The workshop also covered the mechanisms for submitting requests for agricultural land use, with a focus on the criteria involved. There was an emphasis on the importance of coordination among relevant parties to ensure the project's success, even amidst ongoing aggression and siege conditions.
The event concluded with a presentation discussing agricultural value chains and their significance in enhancing crop value addition, thereby increasing the overall value derived from agricultural activities.
