Sana'a: On this day, July 17, the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition's aggressive actions have consistently resulted in significant civilian casualties and destruction across various Yemeni governorates, as evidenced by events spanning from 2015 to 2023.
According to Yemen News Agency, on July 17, 2015, three family members tragically lost their lives due to airstrikes in the Al-Maqash area of Saada. Subsequent raids targeted the Al-Talh area and Saada city, while similar airstrikes struck the village of Al-Munjar in Ibb governorate's Radmah district.
In 2016, aggression continued as a woman was killed in a bombing in Jawf governorate's Al-Maslub district. Airstrikes caused extensive damage to civilian properties and farms in various locations, including Wadi Jarah near Al-Khubah in Jizan and the Al-Hasama area in Saada governorate. Multiple districts, including Haradh, Midi, and Sirwah, also faced targeted aggression.
The following year, 2017, a child suffered injuries from a cluster bomb explosion in Saada governorate. Aggression aircraft launched numerous raids across several districts, including Al-Daylami Air Base in Sana'a, causing widespread destruction to homes and properties.
In 2018, airstrikes in Hodeida governorate's Kilo 16 area resulted in two civilian deaths and five injuries. Additionally, a rocket explosion in Hajjah governorate and artillery attacks in Saada governorate led to further civilian casualties and property damage.
The aggression persisted in 2019 with mercenary shelling in Al-Hodeidah city, causing a significant fire at the City Max supermarket. Multiple airstrikes across Saada and Hajjah governorates further exacerbated the situation.
In 2020, airstrikes and mercenary artillery shelling caused extensive damage across several governorates, including Marib, Jawf, and Hodeida. Residential areas and public properties bore the brunt of these aggressive actions.
By 2021, the pattern of aggression continued with airstrikes and artillery shelling in Marib, Saada, and Hodeida governorates, resulting in civilian injuries and property damage.
On July 17, 2022, Saudi Border Guard fire injured ten citizens in Saada governorate. The coalition's activities included airstrikes and artillery shelling, causing further distress in Hodeida governorate.
Most recently, on July 17, 2023, the aggression's spy aircraft launched numerous raids across Taiz and Hodeida governorates, continuing the pattern of artillery shelling and civilian endangerment.
