Sana'a: The General Department of Criminal Investigation, along with its branches in the Capital Secretariat and Sana'a Governorate, held a commemorative event on Wednesday to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
According to Yemen News Agency, the ceremony was attended by senior government and security officials, including First Deputy Prime Minister Allama Mohammed Muftah, Deputy Minister of Interior Maj. Gen. Abdul-Majid Al-Murtada, and Capital Police Chief Maj. Gen. Muammar Harash.
In his speech, Muftah stressed the importance of honoring the Prophet's legacy as a source of guidance and resilience for the Muslim nation. He emphasized the vital role of security agencies in safeguarding stability, countering crime, and foiling hostile schemes aimed at destabilizing Yemen. He also praised Yemen's steadfast support for Palestine, highlighting the country's resistance against global powers and condemning the silence of some Arab and Islamic regimes toward the war in Gaza.
Maj. Gen. Ahsan Hijazi, Director General of Criminal Investigation, underlined that the commemoration goes beyond celebration, serving as a moment of reflection on the Prophet's values and their relevance to present-day struggles. He noted that the Prophet's birth was not just the arrival of a man, but the rise of a nation entrusted with the message of monotheism. The event featured cultural and artistic performances, including an operetta, poetry recitals, and religious chants.
