Sana'a: Sana'a University launched on Sunday a series of intellectual and cultural seminars under the slogan 'Academics Toward Al-Quds' with a symposium titled 'The Zionist Background of Trump's Plan: Strategic Dimensions, Future Prospects, and Confrontation Options.' The event was organized by the Faculty of Commerce, Economics, and the Center for Political and Strategic Studies.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the seminar, the President of Sana'a University, Dr. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, stated that launching this series of seminars and other activities organized by the university comes in support of the Palestinian cause and solidarity with Gaza. He added that it also reflects the university's active role in raising awareness about the central cause of the Ummah, the hidden dimensions of Trump's plan, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and the underlying motives of Zionism.
For his part, the University's Cultural Advisor, Abdul Salam Al-Mutamayyiz, highlighted the pioneering and significant role of Sana'a University in carrying the banner of the Ummah's central cause and placing it among its priorities through a series of seminars, workshops, and intellectual activities held during the Al-Aqsa Flood battle. He emphasized that the university continues these efforts today, after the nation has transcended the narrow classifications that once divided it.
He affirmed that the Al-Aqsa Flood marked a stage of distinction between the corrupt and the righteous, with Sana'a University standing on the righteous path - leading the academic movement toward restoring the true purpose of knowledge.
The seminar featured four research papers. The first, presented by the Assistant President of the University for Center Affairs, Dr. Zaid Al-Warith, was titled 'Trump's Peace Plan for Gaza and the Options Available to Hamas: A Political-Analytical Reading.' It discussed the historical background of the aggression on Gaza, the content, motives, and implications of Trump's plan, as well as Palestinian and regional reactions to it. The paper also analyzed the options available to Hamas and provided a scientific perspective aimed at assisting Palestinian decision-makers in choosing the path that fulfills the people's aspirations for liberation and self-determination.
The second paper, presented by the Director of the Center for Political and Strategic Studies and Professor of International Relations, Dr. Hussein Mutahhar, focused on 'U.S. Policies Toward the Palestinian Cause Between Trump's Plan and Hamas' Initiative: An Analytical Study.'
The third paper, presented by Assistant Professor of Political Science and Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Economics, Dr. Hani Al-Mughallis, examined 'Trump's Peace Plan for Gaza: Challenges, Responses, and Confrontation Strategies.' It particularly addressed challenges such as reviving the Abrahamic Alliance, resuming normalization efforts, and imposing a divisive reality in Gaza.
The fourth paper, presented by Dr. Ahmed Al-Raydi, analyzed 'President Donald Trump's Peace Plan: Balancing Israeli Interests and Palestinian Rights,' exploring the historical and religious dimensions of U.S.-Zionist relations.
The seminar - attended by Political Bureau member of Ansar Allah Ali Al-Dailami, faculty deans, and a number of professors and researchers - featured extensive discussions and contributions emphasizing that Trump's plan represents a new vehicle for the Zionist project and disregards the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
The seminar's recommendations praised the steadfastness and resilience of the Palestinian resistance, which led to victory over the Zionist entity. They called for continued support for the Palestinian people until they achieve freedom, independence, and the establishment of their sovereign state.
The recommendations also stressed the importance of allowing the Palestinian people to determine their own destiny and form a national administration for Gaza based on consensus among all Palestinian factions. They further rejected all forms of procrastination by the occupying entity in preventing humanitarian aid entry and closing the Rafah crossing, urging mediators to ensure the implementation of the agreement.
