September 21 University Commemorates Imam Zaid’s Martyrdom

Sanaa: The September 21 University for Medical and Applied Sciences organized a commemorative event on Monday to honor the martyrdom of Imam Zaid bin Ali. Dr. Munir al-Wusabi, Dean of the Environment and Community Service, emphasized the significance of the commemoration in drawing lessons and insights that enhance the nation's awareness, certainty, and resolve.

According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. al-Wusabi reviewed various aspects of Imam Zaid's life, focusing on his scholarly and jihadi contributions. He stressed the importance of emulating Imam Zaid and adhering to the principles and values for which he sacrificed, such as supporting the oppressed, confronting tyrants, and working toward the nation's reform.

Cultural activist Abdulmalik Jaber provided insights into Imam Zaid's life, highlighting his scholarly upbringing in the Prophet's household and his firm stances against political deviation. Jaber discussed Imam Zaid's revolutionary actions and martyrdom, underscoring the significant impact he left on the revolutionary Islamic consciousness.

Mohammed Abu al-Ghaith, Deputy Director of Activities at the university, affirmed the importance of recalling Imam Zaid's life as a source of inspiration for dignity, honor, and revolution in the path of truth. He noted that Imam Zaid unified knowledge and jihad, serving as a truthful scholar and a caller to Allah with truth.
