Series of Airstrikes Mark Grim Anniversary of US-Saudi-Emirati Aggression

Sana'a: On this day, July 22, across multiple years, the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition has been marked by a series of airstrikes resulting in significant civilian casualties and infrastructure damage in Yemen. Over the years, these strikes have targeted various governorates, leaving devastation in their wake.

According to Yemen News Agency, on July 22, 2015, seven citizens lost their lives when an airstrike targeted a car in the Nu'man district of Bayda governorate. Additional casualties were reported with the bombing of a car in the Shada Triangle in Saada governorate. Strikes on various areas caused further destruction, including the targeting of roads and bridges.

The following year, on July 22, 2016, artillery shelling by mercenaries injured a civilian in Taiz governorate. Multiple airstrikes hit various districts, leading to the destruction of key infrastructure, including bridges in Amran governorate and targeting civilian areas in Marib governorate.

On July 22, 2017, the aggression continued with airstrikes causing significant property damage in Saada governorate. Strikes on Haradh and Midi districts in Hajjah governorate, and raids on Hodeida International Airport, marked another year of violence.

The year 2018 saw further casualties with a woman killed in an airstrike in Sa'ada governorate. The strikes targeted residential areas, a police camp, and water projects, impacting civilian life and infrastructure.

The aggression on July 22, 2019, involved 17 airstrikes on Kitaf in Saada Governorate. The strikes caused substantial damage to civilian property, with additional artillery shelling in various areas of Hodeida City.

In 2020, airstrikes targeted the communications network in Amran Governorate, with additional strikes in Marib and Hajjah governorates, causing widespread damage to both public and private properties.

The pattern continued on July 22, 2021, with multiple airstrikes across Bayda, Marib, and Saada governorates. Reconnaissance aircraft dropped bombs on civilian areas in Hodeida Governorate, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.

On July 22, 2022, six civilians were injured by Saudi border guards and cluster bomb explosions in Saada Governorate. Airstrikes and artillery shelling continued to impact Ma'rib, Hajjah, and other governorates, further endangering civilian lives.

Most recently, on July 22, 2023, reconnaissance aircraft launched a raid in Hodeida governorate, with mercenaries bombarding several areas. This ongoing aggression continues to pose a significant threat to civilians and infrastructure in Yemen.
