Shabwa: Shabwa Governor Awad al-Awlaqi stated that the September 21 Revolution stands as one of the greatest revolutions in Yemen's modern history, asserting that it marked the end of foreign control and dependence.
According to Yemen News Agency, al-Awlaqi expressed that Yemenis are celebrating the 12th anniversary of the revolution with a sense of pride. He cited significant advancements in political, military, economic, and agricultural sectors over the past 12 years. Al-Awlaqi emphasized the development of missile and military manufacturing capabilities, production of military equipment, and tactical weapons despite the ongoing blockade affecting the people's daily lives.
The governor also highlighted the expansion in agricultural production and initiatives to bolster food self-sufficiency, particularly in wheat and other crops. He noted that these efforts are aimed at supporting economic independence and reinforcing national sovereignty.
Al-Awlaqi remarked that Yemenis and their armed forces have been engaged in a prolonged battle to defend the country's sovereignty, security, unity, and freedom. He commended the military advances, especially on the western coast and other regions, expressing confidence that the ongoing struggle would eventually lead to victory.
He extended his congratulations to Revolution Leader Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, Supreme Political Council President Mahdi al-Mashat, the armed forces, and the Yemeni people on the 12th anniversary of the September 21 Revolution. Al-Awlaqi also offered prayers for peace, prosperity, and the complete liberation of Yemen's territory.
