Beirut: Sheikh Naim Qassem, Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah, emphasized that Lebanon's strength is rooted in its resistance, army, and people, and insisted on not making concessions that could undermine the nation's fortitude.
According to Yemen News Agency, Sheikh Qassem prioritized ending Israeli aggression and ensuring the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon. He criticized the Lebanese government for its inaction, highlighting its failure to exert sufficient international pressure despite Israel's repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement.
Sheikh Qassem urged the government to engage in active diplomatic measures, including summoning relevant ambassadors, to hold Israel accountable for its actions. He also condemned internal criticism directed at the resistance, arguing that it should instead focus on the occupying forces.
He further warned about the delays in reconstruction efforts, stressing that such postponements only exacerbate citizens' suffering and threaten national stability. Sheikh Qassem called for a swift acceleration of these efforts to maintain the country's strength and resilience.
