Sana'a: The Shura Council Chairman Mohammed Hussein Al-Eidaroos met with Deputy Chairman of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry Mohammed Salah, a number of chamber members, and business representatives. The meeting focused on bolstering the public-private partnership to support national economic and development interests, promote investment, achieve economic and agricultural growth, and advance the localization of industries.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Eidaroos listened to the private sector's perspectives on establishing a genuine partnership with the government to address challenges facing businesses amid the country's current circumstances. The discussions highlighted the economic and investment measures necessary during this phase of change and development.
Al-Eidaroos emphasized the Council's commitment to supporting proposals that enhance cooperation between the government and private sector, encourage national capital, and support Yemeni businessmen amid ongoing challenges. He highlighted the need to implement the economic directives of Revolution Leader Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, especially those related to economic stimulation, industrial localization, protection of local products, and private sector support.
He also acknowledged the private sector's contribution to supporting the national economy and maintaining market stability. Al-Eidaroos reaffirmed the importance of leveraging opportunities and incentives provided under the Investment Law.
The Shura Council chairman directed the Council's deputy chairman and the Financial and Economic Committees, in coordination with specialists from the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, to prepare a unified vision containing measures to ease the burdens on traders and manufacturers.
