Sana'a: The Shura Council of the Republic of Yemen issued a call to action on Saturday, urging the Association of Senates, Shura Councils, and Similar Councils in Africa and the Arab World to adopt a unified Islamic stance against what it describes as Zionist violations targeting Islamic holy sites and principles.
According to Yemen News Agency, letters were sent by Shura Council Speaker Mohammed Hussein al-Aidaroos to Muhammad Ould al-Rashid, the president of the Association, and its members. The letters expressed Yemen's condemnation at various levels of leadership and society over perceived conspiracies and disrespect toward Islamic holy sites and symbols. The Speaker referenced documents suggesting that the Zionist Jeffrey Epstein had offered the Kaaba's covering for use in activities that allegedly violate its sanctity.
Al-Aidaroos emphasized that the desecration of the Holy Kaaba and the mistreatment of its sacred objects is an affront to the feelings of over two billion Muslims. He argued that this issue requires a unified Islamic stance that goes beyond media statements, advocating for institutional and legal measures to hold those responsible accountable.
The Speaker further called on the Muslim World League to take immediate action by forming an independent committee to investigate these incidents and make their findings public. He also urged that the protection of holy sites be included on the agenda of Arab and Islamic parliamentary events to prevent future desecrations.
