Sana'a: A seminar entitled "Yemen in the Balance of Power: The American-Zionist Aggression Against Iran and the National Interest in Supporting the Resistance Axis" was held in Sana'a today. It was organized by the Shura Council in cooperation with the Center for Political and Strategic Studies.
According to Yemen News Agency, at the opening of the seminar, the Speaker of the Shura Council, Mohammed Hussein al-Aidaroos, emphasized the importance of raising societal and political awareness to confront the expansionist ambitions of the Zionist entity in the region. He stressed that the awareness and unity of the Yemeni people represent the rock upon which conspiracies targeting national sovereignty and Yemen's strategic waterways will shatter. He commended the contributions of the Center for Political and Strategic Studies in providing insights that reveal the danger of these ambitions.
For his part, the Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, Dhaifallah Rassam, highlighted the role and stances of Yemeni tribes in supporting the causes of the Islamic and Arab nations, foremost among them the Palestinian cause and the support of their brothers in Gaza, all of Palestine, Lebanon, and elsewhere. He also addressed Yemen's pivotal role in confronting the forces of global arrogance, led by America and Israel, and their proxies in the region.
At the symposium, which was attended by a number of Shura Council members and the Council's Secretary-General, Ali Abdulmughni, a working paper was presented by Abdulaziz Abu Talib, head of the Center for Political and Strategic Studies. His paper addressed the dangers posed by the Zionist project to Yemen and the necessity of protecting national interests. He pointed to several key aspects focusing on the historical, strategic, and religious dimensions of the Zionist project, its ongoing attempts to control Bab al-Mandab and the vital Yemeni islands, the challenges to national security, and how it exploits colonial tools to destabilize the country internally and dismantle its social fabric. Abu Talib stressed the need to strengthen the religious and national identity as a fundamental pillar for protecting the home front from cultural infiltrations and confronting the "Abrahamic project," and documenting Zionist ambitions in international forums.
