Sana'a: The General Authority for Social Security and Pensions has initiated the disbursement of the first half of September 2021 pensions for civil retirees under a temporary mechanism designed to aid state employees.
According to Yemen News Agency, Ibrahim Al-Haifi, Chairman of the Authority, stated that the disbursement aligns with Law No. (2) of 1446 AH, ensuring the consistent payment of pensions through twelve annual disbursements. Al-Haifi emphasized this move as a result of intensive efforts and ongoing coordination with the Ministries of Finance and Civil Service and Administrative Development. This is part of the government's program which prioritizes retirees in acknowledgment of their long service and contributions to the nation.
This action marks the second pension disbursement by the Authority within a week, following the allocation of the second half of August 2021 pensions last Tuesday. Retirees and their authorized representatives have been encouraged to visit post offices with the necessary documentation to facilitate the process.
Al-Haifi expressed appreciation for the cooperation of various authorities, including the Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen, and the staff of the Authority, along with the Ministries of Civil Service and Finance, the Central Bank, and the Postal Savings Authority, all of whom played vital roles in the successful pension distribution.
