Sana'a: The General Secretariat of the Southern Movement, a participant in the National Dialogue Conference and signatory to the Peace and Partnership Agreement, has firmly rejected allegations made by Saudi Arabia that the Yemeni Armed Forces targeted Mecca. The Movement has described these claims as baseless.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Secretariat issued a statement affirming that the Yemeni people have consistently respected Islamic holy sites, with Mecca being of utmost importance. The statement went on to hold the Saudi regime accountable for propagating these claims, suggesting that the allegations are an attempt to exploit Islamic holy sites for political and media purposes.
The Secretariat also commended the recent speech by Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi and encouraged Yemenis to participate in mass rallies under the slogan: 'Supporting the Armed Forces, Countering the Siege with a Siege, and Exposing Claims of Targeting Mecca.' These rallies are planned to take place at Al-Sabeen Square in Sana'a and other designated squares across the provinces.
