Sana'a: The Speaker of Parliament, Yahya Ali Al-Ra'i, met today with key figures of the Fourth International Conference on the Greatest Messenger. Among those present were Dr. Al-Qasim Abbas, President of the Conference; Dr. Ibrahim Al-Amiri, his deputy; Dr. Mohammed Al-Rafiq, Head of the Scientific Committee; and Abdullah Rabeed, Deputy Head of the Preparatory Committee. The meeting was also attended by Parliament member Khaled Al-Ansi and the Secretary-General of Parliament, Abdullah Al-Qasimi. The discussions centered on the progress of the Preparatory Committee's efforts for the conference, focusing on the life and teachings of the Greatest Messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), and the role of the Charitable Society for Quran Education.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Al-Qasim Abbas emphasized that this conference is part of a broader initiative to promote Quranic culture and delve into the study of the Noble Messenger's character. The aim is to assist the Islamic nation in overcoming the challenges stemming from straying from the teachings of the Quran and the Prophet. The fourth edition of the conference will feature contributions from researchers and academics worldwide, presenting various papers that explore the Messenger's life through different themes. Dr. Abbas highlighted that the conference serves as both a scholarly gathering and a strategic forum to reinforce the connection to the Prophet and embed Quranic values into the consciousness of the nation.
Dr. Abbas noted that past editions of the conference have been global platforms for rigorous scientific research, enhancing understanding of the Greatest Messenger's biography and its relevance to contemporary issues. He outlined the conference's comprehensive vision, which spans cultural, economic, political, educational, and security themes, all aimed at fostering a dignified and independent nation in line with Prophetic values.
During the meeting, the conference leaders honored Speaker Al-Ra'i with a shield from the Third International Conference in recognition of his contributions to national causes and Parliament's support in legislative and oversight functions. In response, Speaker Al-Ra'i expressed his gratitude and called for active participation in the conference. He stressed the need for increasing awareness and equipping future generations with knowledge to counter cultural threats.
Speaker Al-Ra'i also underscored the importance of translating conference research into actionable plans that follow the guidance of the Quran and the path of the Prophet Muhammad. He praised the leadership of Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi for defending the nation's causes and emphasized the significance of impactful research in breaking the dominance over information technology by adversaries.
He urged a collective effort to improve conditions, viewing the conference as a vital opportunity to highlight national struggles. He expressed optimism that the researchers' efforts would lead to practical advancements in society's development, conveying the commitment of revolutionary and political leaders to progress in all sectors.
