US-Saudi-Emirati Airstrikes Over the Years: A Grim Anniversary of Aggression

Sana'a: On this day, May 7, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression targeted civilians, their property, and public facilities in several governorates, resulting in deaths, injuries, and massive destruction.

According to Yemen News Agency, the aggression's air force has been relentless in its operations over the years, causing significant devastation in multiple regions.

On May 7, 2015, airstrikes targeted crucial government buildings in Saada city and launched raids in multiple districts, including Al-Malahiz and Razih. The areas of Al-Zour and Al-Dashoush in Marib Governorate also faced heavy bombardment. The following year saw similar aggression with three raids on Nihm District in Sana'a Governorate and assaults on strategic locations like Mount Haylan in Marib.

The pattern continued in 2017 with tragic consequences as ten women and children perished in Taiz governorate. The air force also targeted industrial sites like the Al-Barh cement factory and agricultural areas in Sirwah District, causing widespread damage. In 2018, Sana'a's densely populated Tahrir neighborhood was hit, resulting in numerous casualties, including students. Raids on civilian infrastructure in Marib and Sa'ada Governorates further exacerbated the humanitarian toll.

In 2019, airstrikes on Kitaf district in Saada and shelling in Al Hudaydah Governorate marked another year of violence. Artillery and machine gun fire in populated areas caused significant civilian distress. The aggression persisted in 2020, with the coalition's air force conducting extensive raids in the Jawf Governorate, damaging homes and farms.

The violence continued into 2021, with a deadly airstrike in Ma'rib governorate during a gathering for International Quds Day. That year also witnessed multiple airstrikes in Sirwah District. In 2022, heavy artillery fire from mercenaries targeted civilian homes across several governorates, adding to the ongoing conflict's toll on civilians.

On May 7, 2023, the aggression intensified, with reconnaissance aircraft launching raids in Hodeida Governorate. Mercenaries established combat fortifications and bombarded various areas, highlighting a persistent pattern of aggression that has spanned years, affecting countless lives in Yemen.
