Sana'a: The Student Forum of Yemeni Universities condemned, in the strongest terms, the move by the Zionist occupation authorities to impose the Zionist educational curriculum on students in occupied Quds.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Forum considered in a statement that this decision is a systematic assault on Palestinian identity and the memory of generations, and an attempt to erase history, distort consciousness, and impose the occupier's narrative through education.
The statement affirmed that targeting schools, books, and students comes within the project of Judaization, settlement, land confiscation, and altering the landmarks of Jerusalem. It warned that the occupation, no matter how many tools of oppression and falsification it possesses, will not be able to uproot Palestinian identity from the consciousness of its children or impose its narrative on their minds.
The Forum declared its full solidarity with the students of Jerusalem, their teachers, and their parents, affirming that protecting Palestinian education, identity, and memory is a national and humanitarian responsibility. It called on universities, unions, student and human rights organizations to condemn these policies and support the right of Jerusalem's students to an education that preserves their history and identity.
The Student Forum reiterated that Jerusalem will remain present in the consciousness of the Yemeni student, and that the occupation's attempts to rewrite history will not change the truth. It emphasized that erasing memory will not uproot identity, while Palestinian consciousness will remain resistant to falsification and uprooting.
