Sana'a: The Supreme Elections and Referendum Committee organized a protest on Tuesday to condemn the continued American and Zionist insults to the Holy Quran. Participants in the protest, which included committee member Judge Mohammed al-Aziz, Secretary-General Mohammed al-Jalal, directors-general, and staff, voiced their disapproval through slogans denouncing these acts.

According to Yemen News Agency, attendees of the protest expressed their outrage against the Zionists and Americans for what they perceive as repeated insults to the Quran, describing it as indicative of the deep-seated animosity held by these entities towards Islam and its holy sites. A statement from the organizers, read by the committee's mobilization officer, Abdulsalam Al-Harethi, emphasized the protest as a religious obligation and a stand against what they termed as a heinous crime by the Zionist and American entities.

The statement further explained that these actions are seen not as isolated incidents but as part of a broader and systematic assault aimed at undermining the Quran's sanctity and attacking the Islamic identity. It reaffirmed the committee's commitment to upholding the Quran as a source of identity and dignity for the Muslim nation.

The declaration made it clear that any insult to the Quran is regarded as an attack on the entire Muslim community and cannot be justified under the guise of freedom of expression. It criticized Western entities for their perceived hypocrisy in defending these actions while stifling criticism of Zionist policies.

The organizers condemned what they described as a crime against the Quran and held America, Britain, and the Zionist enemy accountable for repeated offenses against Islam. They linked these actions to a history of aggression, occupation, and violence against sacred sites and innocent lives.

The statement concluded by affirming support for the armed forces in their struggle against aggression and emphasized continued mobilization and resistance efforts, including boycotts, until achieving their objectives.
