Symposium at Hodeida University on Building Awareness, Strengthening Resilience in Resistance Media

Hodeida: A cultural and intellectual awareness symposium entitled "Building Awareness and Strengthening Resilience in Resistance Media" was held on Monday at the Arts Complex of Hodeida University, as part of the university's activities to commemorate the National Day of Resilience.

According to Yemen News Agency, the symposium was organized by the Faculties of Fine Arts, Agriculture, Marine and Environmental Sciences, and Engineering, in cooperation with the University Student Forum. The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Ali al-Banawi, reviewed strategies of the Yemeni people's resilience during 11 years of aggression and blockade. He highlighted the importance of raising awareness about enemies' conspiracies aimed at indoctrinating youth through distorted cultures and soft warfare, stressing the need to protect against false media outlets targeting the faith-based identity.

The Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Dr. Abdul-Ilah Abu Ali, discussed modern and digital media's role in countering media manipulation of the ongoing conflict with the Zionist entity and the American administration. He noted that resistance media is no longer the sole domain of specialists; instead, every individual can now participate in the struggle through social media.

Abdullah al-Ahdal, Director of the University's Media Department, addressed the concept of resistance media and its Quranic foundations, noting its role in supporting the truth, building collective awareness, and upholding ethical values. He explained that the battle with the enemy has become a battle of ideas and awareness, necessitating confronting media disinformation and dismantling the Zionist narrative.

The University President's Advisor, Dr. Majid Al-Idrisi, warned of the dangers of the soft war targeting young minds to distort concepts and obliterate the identity of resistance. He emphasized the collective responsibility to confront the psychological warfare waged by the forces of arrogance as a prelude to colonizing land and holy sites.
