Taiz: The Taiz branch of the National Human Rights Commission condemned the heinous crimes committed by Saudi-backed mercenaries against civilians in the governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the branch explained in a statement that the mercenaries sniped 50-year-old citizen Mohammed Abdullah Ali Saif in the back of the head in the Al-Kuraifat area of Sabr Al-Mawadim district, in a treacherous crime targeting his life.
The statement indicated that mercenaries targeted the Wadi al-Hussein area in Khadir district with rocket fire, resulting in the death of 48-year-old Abdulrahman Othman Ali Nasser while he was working on his farm in al-Kharfa. It also noted that two-year-old Abdulhaq Abdullah Ahmed Dahim was injured by a shell fired by mercenaries at al-Arf village in al-Habiba sub-district of Maqbana district.
The statement emphasized that targeting civilians with direct sniper fire and shelling residential areas and farms constitutes a war crime and a flagrant violation of all international and humanitarian laws and norms, revealing a deliberate disregard for the lives and safety of civilians.
The statement held the Saudi enemy and its mercenaries fully responsible for these crimes, calling on the international community and human rights and humanitarian organizations to condemn and document these crimes and work to stop them.
