Taiz: The Cleanliness and Improvement Fund in Taiz governorate, in collaboration with the Executive Unit for Information and Systems at the Ministry of Finance, officially launched a unified accounting system and electronic revenue collection platform on Tuesday.
According to Yemen News Agency, Acting governor of Taiz, Ahmed al-Masawa, highlighted the significance of the new system in streamlining revenue management and enhancing financial oversight. He addressed long-standing issues related to remittances, urging all stakeholders to take responsibility for improving institutional performance amidst the ongoing challenges due to the aggression and blockade. Al-Masawa stressed the necessity of boosting local revenues to implement essential service projects across the governorate.
Engineers Abdullah Margham and Mohammad Nejad from the Ministry of Finance's Executive Information Unit explained the ministry's broader plan to digitize all financial procedures and fee collection mechanisms with an integrated electronic system. The initiative is designed to save time, reduce operational costs, and increase transparency. They mentioned that the system will help eliminate cash accumulation issues by tax collectors and significantly contribute to improving revenue flows.
