Saada: A meeting at the Republican Hospital Authority in Saada Governorate, chaired by Governor Mohammed Awad, discussed the possibility of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) supporting the health sector in the governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, at the meeting, Governor Awad emphasized the need for support for the health sector in Saada, given the systematic targeting it has been subjected to by the aggression.
The discussions highlighted the challenges faced by the health sector in the region and explored potential avenues for collaboration with the ICRC to address these issues. Governor Awad reiterated the importance of international assistance in rebuilding and strengthening the local health infrastructure to ensure the well-being of the residents in Saada.
The meeting concluded with a recognition of the critical role that international organizations like the ICRC could play in the recovery of the health sector, which has been under significant strain due to ongoing conflicts.
