Taiz: The General Authority for Endowments and Guidance, in conjunction with the Scholars and Students Unit at the historic Al-Jund Mosque in Taiz Governorate, organized an evening commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) under the slogan: "By the Lord of the Kaaba, I have won!"
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was organized under the supervision of the local authority and the governorate's mobilization efforts, with broad participation from local and executive leaders, as well as social, religious, educational, and cultural figures. Hafiz Al-Jaafari, Director of Preachers at the Guidance Department, reviewed prominent milestones in the life of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), his upbringing, and his immortal stances that embodied the highest meanings of faith, courage, and loyalty to the Islamic message.
He pointed out that Imam Ali (peace be upon him) represents a towering figure and a historical icon whose stature remains undimmed by time. He emphasized that speaking about him is not merely a commemoration of a historical figure, but rather a recollection of great stances and a fragrant legacy worthy of emulation, a model for the men of the Prophetic school of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), who graduated under the tutelage of the noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
The Director of the Jaafari Preachers addressed the significance of commemorating this anniversary as a renewal of allegiance to Allah, His Messenger, and Imam Ali (peace be upon him). He explained that the connection of the people of Yemen to the successor of the Messenger of Allah is a deep-rooted, faith-based bond, extending back to the dawn of Islam, when Yemenis held the greatest honor in supporting truth and raising the banner of religion.
He noted that Imam Ali exemplified sincere leadership, combining strength of conviction with purity of principle. He stressed that the nation today is in dire need of invoking these values in its reality and reinforcing them in the hearts of future generations, thus contributing to building a cohesive society aware of its responsibilities. Al-Jaafari called for emulating Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in promoting the values of social solidarity and compassion, and working to consolidate the principles of justice, tolerance, and unity among members of society.
