Taiz: The local council in Shar'ab Al-Rawnah district, Taiz governorate, organized a commemorative evening to mark the martyrdom of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) and the Battle of Badr. The event was notable for its focus on significant moments in Islamic history and was attended by various dignitaries from the region.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event featured participation from the governorate's deputy for development affairs, Abdulwase' Al-Shamsi, district director Osama Al-Qatabari, and several executive office directors and community figures. During the gathering, speeches were delivered highlighting the life of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), emphasizing the values of faith, justice, and courage that he embodied. Additionally, the significance of the Battle of Badr as a pivotal moment in Islamic history was underscored.
The speakers at the event stressed the importance of drawing lessons from these historical occasions to fortify faith and Quranic culture. They also highlighted the benefits of the Ramadan lectures by the leader of the revolution, which aim to enhance awareness and consolidate values of unity and resilience. The speeches further called for the timely payment of Zakat and emphasized its role in achieving mutual support and compassion, as well as strengthening social solidarity during the remaining days of the holy month.
