Sana'a: Massive armed tribal rallies were held in the districts of Maqbanah, Khadir, Shara'bi al-Rawnah, al-Salam, and al-Ta'iziyah in Taiz Governorate, denouncing the Islah Party militias' execution of prisoner Issa Muqbil Awn al-Afari.

According to Yemen News Agency, the rally in the al-Barh square in Maqbanah District was attended by Shura Council member Mansour Hael Sinan, the district's director-general Abdulrahman Ibrahim, the district's public mobilization official Abdulbaqi al-Wazir, military leaders, and social and security figures. Khadir District also organized a rally attended by the governorate's social unit official Hamis al-Habari, the district's director-general Faris al-Jaradi, the director of security Colonel Essam Sabr, and other social, military, and security figures.

A rally was held in Shara'b al-Rawnah District, attended by the governor's deputy, Mohammed Munir; the district's director-general, Osama al-Qatabri; a number of executive office directors; and social and military figures. Shar'b al-Salam District organized a rally attended by the district's security director, Colonel Abdo al-Junaid, and several social and security figures. In the northern square of the Taiziyah District, a vigil was held, attended by the district's General Mobilization Officer, Mohammed al-Dhaibani, and social, security, and military figures.

Participants in the vigil denounced the violations perpetrated by these militias, drawing parallels to the crimes committed by the Zionist entity against prisoners. They also chanted slogans of disavowal of perceived enemies, highlighting the Islah Party militia's execution of Issa al-Afari as indicative of a criminal mentality aimed at aligning with America and Israel.

The statement issued by the vigil condemned the crime, calling for a firm stance against it, emphasizing that its perpetrators complicate the prisoner issue and obstruct efforts to resolve it. It stressed that the crime would not go unnoticed and that its perpetrators will face punishment. The statement urged the mercenary leadership to take a responsible stance similar to the National Committee for Prisoners' Affairs in liberating prisoners.

The statement held the Islah Party leadership, and the Saudi regime behind it, accountable for the crime and its impact on the prisoner issue. It called on the UN envoy to assume responsibility, given his awareness of the case and the illegal trials conducted by mercenaries against prisoners. The statement renewed its call for tribal and social figures and the Yemeni people to condemn this crime and urged international and local organizations to take necessary steps to prosecute the perpetrators.
