Sana'a: The Technical and Media Committees of the Summer Activities and Courses honored 128 female journalists from various official and private print, audio, and visual media outlets on Sunday. This recognition was in appreciation of their dedicated role in covering the summer courses.
According to Yemen News Agency, the ceremony featured speeches by Amat al Alim al Dailami, a member of the Technical Committee for the Courses, and Sumayya al Taifi, a member of the Media Committee. They commended the journalists for their efforts in highlighting the activities of the summer courses across different media platforms. The journalists were acknowledged for their comprehensive coverage through programs, reports, and press materials.
Al Dailami and al Taifi expressed, "Today, a large number of female journalists who covered the courses were honored. They successfully highlighted the cultural, educational, agricultural, and other activities held in the summer schools, and this recognition is far less than what they deserve."
They further emphasized the indispensable role of media coverage, stating, "Without the media efforts, coverage, and promotion, these activities would not have been brought to light and engaged with by the public on such a large scale."
