Bayda: Three agricultural projects were inaugurated in the Dhi Na'im district at the Dhi Na'im Cooperative Agricultural Society by Bayda province undersecretary Abdullah al-Jamali on Tuesday. These projects, which were brought to life with an investment of eight million riyals, include a veterinary clinic, an extension services center, and a beekeeping center.
According to Yemen News Agency, the inauguration ceremony was attended by the head of the agricultural sector in the governorate, Engineer Mohammed al-Haidari. During the event, Mohammed al-Souma'i, head of the cooperative, detailed the crucial services these projects will offer to farmers, beekeepers, and livestock breeders in the region.
Undersecretary al-Jamali highlighted the significance of these projects for the development of the agricultural sector. He pointed out their potential contribution to reducing the import bill, particularly amidst the ongoing aggression and blockade. Al-Jamali further underscored the necessity of expanding grain crop cultivation to ensure food security and self-sufficiency for the area.
He also called for the agricultural associations to be more active, positioning them as vital partners in local development. Moreover, he praised the steadfastness of workers in the agricultural sector and their essential role in supplying the local market with a variety of products.
