General

Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted scattered thunderstorms across various provinces, accompanied by strong winds along the coastal regions, within the next 24 hours.

According to Yemen News Agency, the center's weather bulletin indicates thunderstorms of varying intensity are anticipated in parts of the governorates of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Mahwit, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, and Taiz. Furthermore, scattered rains, occasionally with thunder, are likely in the governorates of Dhale'a, Bayda, and the highlands of Hadhramaut, Shabwah, Lahj, Abyan, and the western region of Sana'a, including the Socotra Archipelago and parts of the eastern coast.

The center has reported strong to very strong winds around the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, and the eastern and southern coasts. Additionally, scattered rains have been observed outside the range of monitoring stations in the mountainous highlands and interior plateaus.

In light of these conditions, the center has issued warnings to citizens about the potential dangers of thunderstorms and the risks associated with crossing floodwaters during and after rainfall. Beachgoers, fishermen, and ship captains are advised to exercise caution due to rough seas and high waves expected around the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, and the eastern and southern coasts.

The center also cautions about hot and extremely hot conditions in the deserts and coastal plains, recommending avoiding direct sunlight during the afternoon hours.
